One of the biggest challenges moms in business face is feeling successful at both business and personal life. Sometimes, when business is going great, it can feel as though we are neglecting our family, and when family life is great it is because we aren’t taking care of our business. This is a constant challenge for most moms in business, especially ones with little or no support. If you’ve ever felt this way today’s post will help. Today we share how to have it all, a successful business, and a happy life.
9 Keys For Success In Life And Business
1. Stop Looking for disappointment
Most people are constantly looking for reasons to be disappointed. Either we are frustrated because we are stuck in traffic, our kids won’t let us get any work done, running late for a meeting, or the day is not going as planned. This is the first thing you want to start being aware of and catching yourself on. Start training yourself to look for ways to be more appreciative instead of disappointed. Don’t be the person who is constantly disappointed, because when you get in this mindset life gets hard. Appreciate everything that comes your way good or bad, and grow through it. Things start to get a lot easier when you focus on what is working, rather then what is not working.
2. You Dont Have to Choose Between Family and Success
There is a huge misconception that mothers must choose between family and business. Our society tends to take on a mindset that you should choose success or family, and not both. This misconception is one that tends to get under my skin because the truth is, it is not one or the other! You can have both. You don’t have to choose. I’m living proof of it and that is why we started this site. Never forget that you are building your business for you and your family. Allow yourself to enjoy both family and business. I used to have a hard time doing this, if I was playing with my son I used to feel guilty because I thought massive success only came if you worked morning to night and sacrificed everything. This is not true, it is hard work yes, but if you focus on consistently doing income producing activities a few hours a day and managing your time you will build an empire in the network marketing industry, and guess what? You will have plenty of time with your family too. If you are with your family be 100% with your family, and when your working your business give your business 100%. This was something we had to learn, we used to think we couldn’t enjoy our family until we reached our goals. Once we allowed ourselves to enjoy the things we loved while attaining our goals, life got a whole lot better.
3. Forgive Easier
Ask yourself this question “who can I forgive today?” holding on to resentment it is like drinking poison, it can be toxic in your life and business. Everyone makes mistakes, see people as human beings and know that people mess up sometimes. It is important to live your life understanding that people are doing the best that they can in their lives.
4. Be Willing To Do The Work
It’s not going to be easy, and you have to understand that. Be willing to do the work. Be willing to go through the ups and the downs, and to have the learning lessons along the way. Most people don’t ever fully commit themselves because they are too afraid of the unknown. Don’t allow fear to hold you back from committing to what you want. It’s going to be hard work, there will be days when it feels impossible, you will want to quit. Keep going despite all of the tough times, and work for it. Even on the days your kids are driving you crazy, even on the days you are exhausted, even on the days that you don’t feel like it. If you can commit, and follow through you will make it.
5. Show Gratitude Daily
Start by appreciating wherever you are today in your life and business. Sometimes it is hard to appreciate where we are because we tend to think of the things we haven’t accomplished yet. If you evaluate your life it is getting better, think about where you were 3 years ago. You have more then likely grown so much from the person you were when you started, that alone should make you say “Thank You”. Come from a place of gratitude in everything you do. There a lot of people in this world that would do anything to have the opportunity that you have. Remember how blessed you are. You can’t have more if you don’t appreciate what you currently have.
6. Invest In Yourself
Hiring a coach is one of the smartest investments you can make. Coaches help keep you on track toward your goals, and educate you to do whats best. Many people invest but not in themselves. Hiring a coach and investing in your education makes the journey a lot easier. If you look at pro athletes, famous actors they all have coaches that have helped them get to where they are at. The likelihood of achieving your goals and increasing your productivity dramatically increases when you hire a coach in your life. Invest in yourself and mind, if you’re not investing in yourself you’re keeping yourself back. Make it a goal, everything that you do now is an investment in your future. Jim Rohn said “To get more you have to become more.” Work harder on yourself than you do your job, and you’ll make a fortune”. Take 20 to 30 minutes a day to work on your mind, live it, practice it and apply it to your life.
7.Work on You More Than You Spend Time Criticizing Others
Be so busy improving yourself that you have no time to focus on what others are doing.
8. Stop worrying about what others think about you
Most people worry about what others think and then find themselves living their life based on others opinions and thoughts. Don’t worry about what people say behind your back, they are behind you for a reason. Don’t buy into peoples insecurities, keep forward on your dreams and goals. Stay consistant on who you are and continue to work on yourself, don’t let another opinions steer you off your course.
9. You will overestimate what you can do in 90 days but underestimate what you can do in 5 years
Don’t have a 90 day plan, have a 5 year vision. Understand that one 90-day plan is not taking you to the top but creating the momentum to get you there. If you haven’t fully committed just yet, have right now be your starting point. You really don’t know how much your life can change in 5 years because of your decision to commit. In network marketing, some people can explode in their business within 1 to 2 years but the majority of people in network marketing take a little longer. Keep in mind this is a business and work with the mindset that others may take longer to reach their goal. Look at all that is possible and be realistic with your expectations, have a long-term vision.
